Drs. Mark Steege and Jamie Pratt will present a FREE webinar Ethics in Supervision. Participants will receive 3 CE credits by attending the entire webinar and completing a quiz and evaluation form at the conclusion of the workshop.

Target Audience: School Psychologists

Webinar DescriptionThis webinar will review (a) the defining features of clinical supervision and (b) the ethical and professional standards guiding the delivery of clinical supervision in school psychology. Supervision will be conceptualized as an intervention grounded in the principles of data-based decision making. Participants will explore strategies for implementing an ethical, competency-based supervision model, monitoring the integrity of implementation, and evaluating the effects of supervision for supervisees and their clients. Evaluation tools, including a supervisee self-assessment and the NASP Case Study Rubric, will be featured.

Presenter Profiles:

Mark W. Steege, PhD, is a Professor of Educational and School Psychology at the University of Southern Maine. He holds the following professional credentials: Licensed Psychologist (PS 698)Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral (1-06-3004)Nationally Certified School PsychologistCertified School Psychologist-Doctoral. Dr. Steege has published several research articles focusing on the application of applied behavior analysis assessments and interventions with persons with disabilities in the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and additional articles in Psychology in the Schools and School Psychology Review, among others. His scholarship includes book chapters in Best Practices in School Psychology (II, III, IV, V, VI), among others. Books include Response to Intervention (2005, 2011; Korean translation in 2016) and Conducting School Based Functional Behavioral Assessment: A Practitioner’s Guide (2003, 2009, 2019; Chinese translations in 2004 and 2007). 


Jamie L. Pratt, PsyD, is a Licensed Psychologist, Certified School Psychologist-Doctoral, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral. She completed her doctoral training in applied behavior analysis and school psychology at the University of Southern Maine (USM) in 2010 and presently serves as Assistant Professor and Chair of the Department of Educational and School Psychology at USM. Dr. Pratt serves on an ad hoc committee for the Maine Association of School Psychologists and holds positions on Maine Psychological Association (MePA) Executive Committee, the Maine Department of Education’s Advisory Committee on School Psychologists, and the Association for Maine Behavior Analysis (AMeBA) Executive Board. Dr. Pratt has contributed to multiple articles and book chapters on behavioral assessment and intervention, and she has provided assessment, intervention, and consultation services for school-aged children with developmental and emotional-behavioral disorders for over a decade.

  6. Identify and describe procedures for monitoring the fidelity of supervision
